I was so pleased to find this page, and, even better, the little extra snippets of universes that I first encountered in your archive at Skyehawke. I loved Origins of Myth (and the other two stories in the series), and it's just lovely to get another little glimpse into Ron and Draco's life together.

Ron is a character I don't often see done well in fanfic; too many people either write him as an arrested adolescent, or simply sketch him as a sidekick, without bothering to develop him, to extrapolate his adulthood based on his established personality and his experiences, both canon and otherwise. I love your Ron's kindness, his easy acceptance of other people, his willingness to take emotional risks and, perhaps most especially, his unabashed enthusiasms.

And just so you know, your fic is like comfort-food for me. I come back to it time and again, most especially when the real world is getting me down. There is so much hope in it, even in the face of suffering, so much of people going out of their way to be kind to each other.

Thanks for writing.

Annette

Author's Response: Thank you so much for writing to tell me this. As I have told others, it really thrills me when I provide comfort to others through my writing, because I really, really love having comfort provided for me. Thank you.

So, I ran a search to read Draco snippets, because I had a fight with this girl i married, decided to play hooky for a bit this morning, and 'cause you write a superb-make-me-feel-better-about-the-world Draco.
And then I get to this sentence, "He once told me that part of love was knowing when to hold someone up and when to tear them down, just a bit." Well that went through me like a nudge from the universe.
So I just wanted to say, part of being a great storyteller, (and I think you live up to both parts of that title) is being a conduit of wisdom, regardless of the form in which it is conveyed.

blessings! oh and YAY for getting the reviews back up!

Author's Response: Hey baby. I agree 100% re: reviews. As far as wisdom...well, I don't know how much of that I have, particularly not in regard to relationships, but I'm glad if it helped with yours. *hugs* Thank you.
